Like a mother

She had a great love of neighbor based on the love of God. She especially preferred poor and abandoned people. When she was General Superior, she accepted poor orphans and kept them at home until they could earn a living while providing them with suitable accommodations. Sister Maria Michelina, still alive today, is one such orphan. One of her sisters was also taken and provided for by the Servant of God. She was always ready to give good advice and encouragement to do good. I remember that in the last few years, like a mother, she assisted the children in the Castel Sant’Elia kindergarten. When in the summer the sisters in the afternoon went to rest, she preferred to stay with the children, give them food, take care of the cleaning.
