Sr. Carissima, SSM had been suffering from Guillain Barré Syndrome (acute idiopathic polyneuritis) for several years, so her immune system had been greatly challenged. The sister had limb disorders, speech and swallowing problems. The sisters in the community and others prayed so much for her recovery by turning to Mother Frances Streitel’s intercession. Sr. Carissima healed completely, and as early as 2014 was able to resume her work at the St. Josef Centre for the Elderly in Abenberg. The residents were happy to have her with them; her watchful eye, her words of comfort were a great blessing for everyone, as witnessed by one of the guests of the Centre.
