Before Christmas 1935, I got sick with "Grippe" in my head. After that, on January 29, 1936, from the Bendorf house, I was taken to Vienna to the main house of our Congregation. Three doctors also treated me with X-rays, but instead of improving, I was getting worse. Meanwhile, from January on, the sisters in Vienna and in Rome were praying to the Servant of God Mother Frances for my healing. On March 6, 1936, on the 25th anniversary of the Servant of God's death, while I did not want to get up for fear of having to go to the doctor, the Superior had a sister tell me: "Get up and come to Mass, as today is the day of the death of the Servant of God". I immediately got up and went to Holy Mass, but I didn't have the courage to take Holy Communion, because I felt bewilderment in my head. After Holy Mass, I continued standing, but I felt so sick that I told a sister that I could no longer cope. Nevertheless, I felt great confidence in the Servant of God. At 12:30 p.m., I went to see the Superior. She wanted to send me to the doctor, but I answered that it was not necessary, because I was feeling well. The Superior wanted me to go anyway and tell him that I was cured. In the afternoon I went to the doctor with a sister and told him: "Today I am not coming for treatment, but to tell you that I am healed. The sisters have prayed to Mother Frances for my recovery.” The doctor who had said a few days before that only the Lord could help me, noted my perfect recovery and declared that a natural healing was not possible.
