I met a little girl from Vienna named Elfrida, who was about one year old with tuberculosis, so much so that she who was sent to doctors who had been treating her for months. I advised the family (of whom I was a friend) to pray a novena to the Servant of God who loved and had sacrificed herself for children, and I gave them an image of her with a relic saying they should put it under the sick girl’s bed. During the novena, I think, towards the end, the fever stopped and the doctor noted that there was no longer any symptoms of the disease. The child always had good health, as I myself was able to observe, until she died about five years later of peritonitis.
