1928. In Roswell, New Mexico, U. S. A., one of our sisters, Sister Graziana, had suffered from tuberculosis for some time. When I was in America, I went with Mother Wendelina, then Vicar for America to visit her. I proposed to pray a novena to Mother Frances, saying that after reciting the novena she would be cured. The day before my visit, the nurse had found that the sick woman was full of bacilli. At the end of the novena a visit was made which revealed the complete absence of the bacilli; this was confirmed by a second visit later. The Sister is still alive and well.
