MANKATO, MINNESOTA

St. Joseph's Hospital

APPROFONDIMENTI02.jpg

On May 1, 1897, four sisters arrived in Mankato to run the Tourtellotte Hospital. The sisters worked to improve the conditions and reputation of the hospital, but in vain. It was then decided to build a new hospital named St. Joseph. Later, in 1953, it was transformed into a nursing home for the elderly and called "Mother Frances' House".
