St. Joseph's school

APPROFONDIMENTI02.jpg

On August 18, 1892, the St. Joseph Parish School opened in Ost, near Wichita, Kansas. However, the teaching activities were soon interrupted to give the sisters the opportunity to continue their education in Menomonie, Wisconsin, at the classroom established for teacher education. In 1895, the school reopened, training many pupils until 1899, in the spirit of service with which Mother Frances encouraged the first Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother: "If, in obedience, we serve in the missions of educating children, wherever they may be, let us follow this call with joy and resolutely strive to give ‘everything to all’".
