On February 16, 1883, Mother Frances Streitel arrived alone in Rome and met Fr. Jordan. He showed her the flat in Borgo Nuovo 151, near the Traspontina Church, which she called "the house of Holy Poverty". A few days later the house was furnished with three beds, three chairs and a simple table. She lived here, together with nine new vocations, until March 1, 1884.
