CASTEL SANT’ELIA, ITALY

Mother Frances Oasis

APPROFONDIMENTI02.jpg

The Mother Frances Oasis was a response to Pope Francis' call to open the houses of religious communities to offer shelter to refugees and those with other serious needs. The Superior General, in dialogue with the Superior of the Region of St. Francis, decided to make available part of the first floor of the sisters' house in Castel Sant'Elia, with the symbolic name of "Mother Frances Oasis", the founder of the Congregation. Thus, on October 3, 2016, in collaboration with other entities, the activity was opened, supported mostly by the congregation and supplemented with the subsidies from the entities with which it is associated. The sisters offer hospitality using the resources of the house, supporting girls and providing for their needs.
