Five sisters of the Congregation went to the Diocese of Kahama in July/August 2005. After congregational discernment and negotiations with Bishop Ludwig J. Minde, on August 2, 2006, the first two sisters from Italy arrived in Tanzania. They went to Musoma to learn the Swahili language in order to carry out the mission in the Diocese of Kahama in Ifunde. The community, enriched by another member, began the service of caring for children, sick and young people. On December 27, 2006, the feast of the parish dedicated to St. John the Evangelist, the house was inaugurated and solemnly blessed by Bishop Minde with the presence and participation of many people from Ifunde and the whole Diocese. The Superior General and her assistant were present at the celebration.
