Nursing school
In 1917 the School of Nursing opened in Wichita. Initially, a three-year course of study was proposed to access the degree, and already 30 students had enrolled in the first year. The educational work then was further expanded. In 1921 a new section was built and by 1942 the building grew to accommodate 165 students. In 1975 the school was accredited to the Service of the National League Nursing and recognized as one of the top schools in Kansas.
