In 1914, the first sisters arrived in Dürrnberg and found a simple farm there. Later a guest house was built to hold spiritual retreats. Beginning in 1953, the house also offered spa treatments to guests. In 1961, a large chapel was built, and the center was expanded to accommodate 130 people. Soon other physical wellness services were added. Later the facility and the activities were given to the diocese.
