APPROFONDIMENTI02.jpg

On December 27, 1912, after lengthy negotiations between Mother Johanna Ankenbrand, Msgr. Jacquemin, the Bishop of Green Bay, J. Fox, and three sisters arrived in Stevens Point to begin service at St. Michael's Hospital, which was officially opened on February 3, 1913. As the needs of more and more patients grew, it was soon necessary to have additional help, so, by 1922, the community included fifteen sisters. On August 17, 1927, a hospital expansion was inaugurated and a house for the chaplain was built.
