The City of Mellrichstadt paid tribute to the illustrious fellow citizen Mother Frances Streitel by dedicating a statue by the artist Karl Heinz Oswald to her in the "Alte Schmiede" square. The event was preceded by a Eucharistic celebration at the end of which Domkapitular Dr. Jürgen Lenssen blessed the sculpture in the presence of Mr. Eberhard Streit, city mayor, and many sisters of the Congregation who had gathered for the occasion.
